Washington FJR1300 Owners Breakfast/Ride/Lunch

Home

On Sunday, October 13th, 2002 7 FJR owners met in Seattle, WA for breakfast. The riders included: myself (H Marc), Malcolm, FJRoamer, Phil, Frank, John, and Sharp (who left his wounded FJR in the garage). Also present were non-FJR owners Eric, Dave, Phil and Debb. It was fun seeing the different mods we'd each made, and meeting the real people behind the email aliases.

Between all the bikes we had:

("Sharp" took the photo above) from left to right, clockwise around the table: Eric, FJRoamer, Phil, Frank, JohnX, Phil (on a Valkirie), Debb (Phil's wife), HMarc (me), Malcom, Dave (BMW R1100S).

Phil took the above photo. You can identify Phil's photos because they're so damn good (he's a professional photographer), and he uses that nice drop-shadow effect. Sharp is the tall guy (6'5") in the FJR hat.

The group photo of the FJR owners (excluding Sharp's FJR). Eric, on the far left (to the right of Sharp), rides a pseudo-FJR (a '00 FZ1). We took lots of photos of just the bikes, until someone suggested that maybe you'd like to see the owners too...

Stopped along Hwy 2 on the west side of Stevens Pass, looking at the gorgeous fall colors on the far side of the canyon.

What we were looking at, and taking photos of. If you click on the picture above you can get a very large 1600x1200 version suitable for a screen-saver backdrop. Phil ran back up to the top of the pass so he could take this 418kb movie clip of the 5 of us riding in formation with his new Sony digital camera.

Our lunch stop, near the intersection of Hwy 2 and Hwy 97. This is where we all went our separate ways. What a great day of riding, beautiful crisp fall weather, vibrant foliage, some new twisty roads, and some new friends.
